The featured artists at the September Art Walk at the Museum of Clean are the ladies of GRANDMA’S SEW N’ SEWS. Come on out and see all their beautiful quilted works of art on Friday, September 4th from 5 – 8 pm at 711 2nd Ave., Pocatello. They are featuring a drawing for a quilted tote bag and will have some great music and yummy treats! Displays will remain at the museum until Sept 29, 2015.
Grandma’s Sew n’ Sews opened in the fall of 2010. It is co-owned by Gary and Donna Byington, Dennis and Mary Byington. Donna and Mary have sewn since they were young and share a love of sewing and creating items from fabric.
Grandma’s is a Sewing Shop, offering Alterations (Suits, Wedding, Proms and basic Clothing), Custom sewing, Mending and etc., Embroidery, Quilting and making of quilts.
Grandma’s has grown to include 3 additional helpers, Kristi Casper, Marcy Gray, and Ella Miller. Ella’s profession has been sewing for years. Marcy and Kristi are daughter’s of Ella and Donna and are learning the trade from three of the best.
We are very busy and love the interaction with our customers! The people of Pocatello/Chubbuck and surrounding areas have been very kind to us.
We decided to do the quilt show, to show different quilt ideas and quilted items from the prospective of color and art. Fabrics and styles vary and hopefully we have something for all to enjoy at our show.
